The chief information officer will be accountable for operational and strategic leadership of all elements of the information technology, informatics, data/analytics, and the health information management functions, to include leading, planning, directing, communicating and evaluating. The CIO acts as a business partner, internal consultant and strategic advisor to the senior management team and employee workforce, determining and implementing strategic and tactical information technology initiatives in support of the missions of Penn State Health System and Penn State College of Medicine. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience in a senior technology leadership role within a complex teaching and medical center environment or in a service organization where one has had demonstrated expertise in the integration of cultures through acquisition and/or merger.
