Tyler & Company is pleased to announce they have been retained for an exciting search for a Chief Executive Officer of St. Claire HealthCare.
The Chief Executive Officer reports to the St. Claire HealthCare Board of Directors Chair. This position is open due to the upcoming retirement of the current CEO after a successful 24-year tenure.
The role of the CEO is to carry out the mission of St. Claire HealthCare at all levels and has been delegated from the Board of Directors the responsibility to operate St. Claire HealthCare in all its activities, divisions and relationships. The Chief Executive Officer will be very visible among all of the SCH entities, as well as the community.
This is an outstanding opportunity to direct and lead a mission-driven, faith-based independent healthcare system.
The ideal candidate will possess rural CEO experience in a similar or slightly smaller healthcare system or COO experience in a larger facility (200 beds or more). Experience with a Catholic healthcare system is a plus but not a requirement.
The incoming CEO must be willing to develop an understanding and a commitment to St. Claire’s Catholic identity, mission and vision, as well as the unique mission of the Sisters of Notre Dame. A master’s degree is highly preferred, as is ACHE Diplomat or Fellowship status.
A CEO who understands physician practice management is desirable. SCH is seeking a CEO who empowers the physicians and works alongside physicians to help make SCH an even better place to practice.
St. Claire HealthCare (SCH) is an integrated healthcare system with the largest rural hospital in Northeastern Kentucky with 159 beds, seven family medicine locations located within five counties, a $28 million multi-specialty medical pavilion, an outpatient center, homecare services, three retail services including family medical supply, two pharmacies and aesthetics.
St. Claire HealthCare is the largest employer in the region, with over 1,200 staff members, including more than 100 medical providers representing 32 medical specialties.
