ATLANTA – Healthcare and life science executive search firm Tyler & Company has joined Signium International, a network of executive search firms with 38 offices in 20 countries.

The affiliation, which became official at the end of April, will strengthen Tyler & Company’s position in the market by creating a close working relationship with Signium firms in other countries. These alliances will allow Tyler & Company to widen its bandwidth for executive searches worldwide, as well as for its life sciences practice.

Tyler & Company executives began a strategy to broaden the firm’s healthcare practice beyond the provider sector in early 2006, and started moving into the life sciences search arena shortly after. When Signium International representatives sought out the Atlanta-based firm in March of 2007 and later asked it to join them, it was a perfect fit.

“Signium was the first network of the many that have approached us to recognize that a strategy of developing the U.S. market according to industry sectors made sense,” says J. Larry Tyler, FACHE, FAAHC, FHFMA, CMPE, President and CEO of Tyler & Company. “They had identified healthcare/life sciences as one of the service lines, and we fit them perfectly.”

Clients of Tyler & Company will benefit from farther-reaching executive searches drawn from a global pool of top-tier talent.

Signium International was founded more than 50 years ago by Henry Wardwell Howell, and was known as Ward Howell International until it re-branded in 1998. The firm was one of the first management consulting firms created with a focus on senior level executive search. One of the founders of the Association of Executive Search Consultants (AESC), Signium participated in the creation of the professional and ethical standards of the executive search industry. The firm is ranked No. 16 in the world’s Top 20 largest retained executive search firms according to Executive Recruiter News’ March 2008 Annual Ranking issue.

Tyler & Company specializes in healthcare and life science executive search.
