Atlanta – Job insecurity and unemployment are impacting the healthcare field. As the job market becomes more challenging, developing skills to market yourself is critical. The American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) is offering Job Search 2009, a free four-part Webinar series for ACHE members who want to take a proactive approach to their career management. Beginning July 13 and presented by J. Larry Tyler, FACHE, Chairman and CEO of Tyler & Company, attendees will learn about:

  • Week 1 - Packaging Your Skills: Resumes, Cover Letters and References
    July 13, 2009
    Explore how the current economic conditions are affecting the healthcare job market and learn to develop effective resumes and powerful cover letters.
  • Week 2 - Network or Not Work
    July 20, 2009
    Understand the critical role of active networking and hear the best approaches to working with an executive search firm.
  • Week 3 - The Art of Interviewing
    July 27, 2009
    Master the three things you need to know about interviewing and your key strategies for telephone, group and follow-up interviews.
  • Week 4 - Negotiating the Job Offer
    August 3, 2009
    Evaluate the key components of the offer and proven approaches to negotiate the optimal compensation package.

How it Works
Beginning with the first session on Monday, July 13, the first of four online presentations will be posted, with subsequent sessions posted each week for four weeks. The sessions will feature a PowerPoint presentation with audio commentary.

Ask Questions
Once attendees view the week’s program, they will be able to post questions throughout the week in the submission form provided. Visit the site the following week to hear answers to questions and view the next week’s installment.

Missed a presentation? No problem!
All sessions will be archived at the end of the four weeks should attendees miss a session or wish to review one at a later date.
