Stephanie J. Underwood joined Tyler & Company in 2001 as a Vice President in the firm's Philadelphia office. She was promoted to Senior Vice President in 2007. With more than 20 years of experience in healthcare organizations and executive search firms, Stephanie has successfully conducted senior-level searches for executives and physician leaders of hospitals, healthcare systems and academic medical centers.
Stephanie also leads the Tyler & Company life science and children’s hospitals practices, which continue to grow each year. In the life science space, the firm has been successful recruiting positions in product development, licensing, compliance, operations, finance, regulatory affairs and technology. The firm also has been successful recruiting a broad range of children’s healthcare leaders, including CEOs, COOs, CNOs, VPs and division directors.
Before joining Tyler & Company, Stephanie was a Principal at Longshore + Simmons, a suburban Philadelphia healthcare executive search and consulting firm. She began her career there in 1994 as a Research Associate and was promoted through the years to Vice President, then Principal in the firm. She has gained recognition for conducting national searches for senior healthcare executives, including medical directors, academic chairpersons, program directors and other key executive and operations positions. Stephanie’s solid search experience with search committee participation, her understanding of the client’s culture and the complex nature of the healthcare marketplace are strengths she brings to her clients.
Stephanie is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, the Healthcare Financial Management Association and the Society for Human Resource Management.
Originally from New Orleans, Stephanie has resided in the Delaware Valley area since 1987.
